As RateMDs continues to grow to better serve our audiences, many of our internal processes have evolved. At the moment, all new provider profile creation requests are carefully processed and verified by our team.
Check for duplicate listings
When our team is alerted of a new profile creation request, we are also notified of potential duplicate profiles that may already exist. Having duplicate profiles can be very confusing for patients and providers alike, so new creation requests will be rejected if a provider is already listed on RateMDs.
If there are no potential duplicate profile listings, our team will move on to the next step.
Verify provider registration
Our team gathers the information submitted alongside the profile creation request and starts verifying the details with the provider’s respective governing body. Our team verifies the following information against the information available from the respective governing body:
Provider name
Provider gender
Provider's specialty of practice
Where the provider is registered to practice
Provider’s registration status
When all of the above has been verified, our team will approve the profile creation request and the new provider listing will be created. If our team is unable to verify the registration status of the provider, the profile creation request will be rejected and no profile listing will be created.
If you come across a profile listing for a retired, deceased, unregistered provider, or duplicate profile listings, please reach out to us through our contact us page and include the URL/link to the listing. Our team will look into having it updated accordingly.
